Commissions are open. If you want a knife built around how you actually cook or hunt, this is where that starts.
How it works

- Place a deposit to book the slotCredited in full against the final price, and it holds your place in the queue.

What it costs
| Work | Typical finished price | Deposit | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kitchen knife | $400–900 | $150 | 8–14 weeks |
| Hunting or field knife | $350–800 | $150 | 8–14 weeks |
| Friction folder | $250–600 | $150 | 8–14 weeks |
| Decorative or architectural | Quoted individually | $350 | 12–24 weeks |
Prices move with steel choice, handle material, fittings, and whether the piece is pattern-welded. Pattern-welded blades roughly double the labour, and the price reflects that.
A commissioned knife is built to one person’s hand. That is the whole point, and it is also why it cannot be resold.
Before you commit
Deposits are fully refundable until work begins, and non-refundable after that. The policy exists because a commissioned piece is built to a specification and is difficult to resell—not because Seth wants to hold your money.
Lead times are estimates from a one-person shop, not guarantees. Seth would rather quote honestly and be late occasionally than quote optimistically and be late always.
